I’m a Cats supporter, and I will say that Collingwood supporters at least stick with their team…yes, there is a big bandwagon at Collingwood, but they have one of the most loyal core groups.
Mick Malthouse did himself a disservice by talking crap about Mark Thompson is feeling the pressure. Both have been at their respective clubs for ten years…who has done better?
Lastly, I hate the Geelong bandwagon. I’ve been a supporter for 20 years and the club doesn’t give a shit about me anymore.

I don’t have much time to attend matches, but I attend club events…or at least I used to.
So say what you will about Collingwood…Geelong is a club that is forgetting its roots and the people who have supported the club for a long time…and not the yuppie turds that jump on for five years, and will forget about the club in another three…
What I say about Collingwood is borne out of 18 years of direct experience – never been spat on by fans of other teams, nor have I ever been so frequently and regularly physically intimidated just for barracking for my team. Sure they’re a loyal bunch but I don’t think they stand out from the group – look at Richmond, 37,000 members and only 3 finals campaigns in 26 years, and no flag since 1980. Besides, loyalty counts for nothing when many of their fans behave like a pack of rabid dogs.
YEah…I Know they’re a rabid bunch of morons, but they at least stick with their team…which is one thing I respect a lot…
Some people are just mongrels, but I know a few Pies supporters who go to games, but go with their family, enjoy the game and do not encroach upon others.
Unfortunately a few bad apples spoil the harvest….
