5th hasn’t been a good place to finish..since 2000 8th has defeated 5th 5 times .. and interestingly enough … essendon has been the main team to do it..did it back 2 back in 2003-2004 to Fremantle in Perth and then Melbourne at the MCG .. so i wouldn’t rule out essendon

This history stuff is over-rated. We didn’t have a guy named James Hird playing for us friday night. Adelaide were worthy favorites that night and beat us fair and square.
